  • Failure analysis & troubleshooting
  • ISO 9001 quality process support
How a project runs

Four phases. No surprises.

Every engagement follows the same structured path, so you always know what has been done, what comes next, and what it will cost.

01

Requirements

We define what the product must do, in which environment, against which standards — and what it must cost per unit.

02

Design

Schematic, simulation and EMC-aware PCB layout. You receive a design review before anything is manufactured.

03

Prototype & test

Prototype build, bring-up, firmware, EMC pre-compliance and environmental testing until the results are reproducible.

04

Series readiness

Manufacturing documentation, conformity file, CE marking and handover to your production partner.

Ing. Taher El Kafrawy
The engineer behind NormEK

One engineer.
Full responsibility.

Ing. Taher El Kafrawy — hardware engineer with more than seven years of professional practice in electronics, power electronics and embedded systems. Certified engineer (Ing.) by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.

You deal with the person who designs your board, writes the firmware, runs the EMC measurements and signs the conformity file. No agency layer, no handover, no loss of context between phases.

Client reference

What clients say.

"Mr El Kafrawy took substantial responsibility for guiding the FFG research project I²B towards market readiness. He advised the participating team both technically and on quality management, and contributed significantly to bringing the developed solutions reliably and in conformity with standards towards series production. His pronounced expertise in microcontroller development — in analogue as well as digital circuit design — combined with professional PCB design, was immediately visible in his advice and in the rapid, practical implementation. I recommend him without any reservation."

About

Ing. Taher El Kafrawy

Hardware engineer — electronics, power electronics and embedded systems. Based in Vienna, working with clients across the European Union.

Ing. Taher El Kafrawy

More than seven years of experience developing electronic assemblies — from concept through circuit design and EMC-compliant PCB layout to conformity assessment and series readiness.

My practical background covers analogue and digital circuit design, power supply and ballast technology, and microcontroller-based firmware development on ESP32, STM32 and ATtiny platforms. Development-accompanying EMC testing in the pre-compliance laboratory and environmental simulation are part of my routine work, not an afterthought.

I work directly with clients — no agency layer, no handover to a junior. The engineer who quotes your project is the engineer who designs it, tests it and signs off the conformity file.

Currently I am looking for challenging work in the development of innovative products for safety-critical applications. Projects are undertaken throughout the European Union — remotely for design and firmware work, and on site where commissioning, measurement or supplier coordination requires physical presence.
